Oh No! 90 Degrees AND High Pollen Count!!!

My poor poor Baby is suffering like crazy!! We found out after taking her to the Doctor's Office two times in three days that she has allergic rhinitis due to all the Oak & Mulberry tree pollen. With complaints of her tummy hurting, being congested, sneezing and her eyes hurting and being red and itchy the doctor confirmed our suspicions of it being allergies.

Friday was a beautiful day in the 80s and so we spent over an hour at the playground. After playing outside for an extended period of time this is how she woke-up Saturday morning...looking like she went a round with Mike Tyson!

Saturday and Sunday our area hit 90 Degrees, yes 90 Degrees in April! Unfortunately the sun-bathers weren't the only ones who went crazy, as the pollen count skyrocketed through the roof to over 4000 pollen grains per cubic meter of air!!!! It's no wonder she is all itchy & scratchy! Here she is fast asleep and all bandaged up since she scratches her face to bleed while sleeping.

Chillin' In Charlotte (NC) with my girl "Shawneke"

It was great to get away for a long weekend to visit my BF, Shawneke {a*k*a "Neke-Neke"} and her wonderful Hubby Marcus. After almost a week of nothing but rain, the weather broke and we enjoyed a beautiful Sunny stretch of 80 Degrees Days in Charlotte!!! It was great being back in North Carolina for a visit, it's beautiful there...

Here we are in one of our "GUILTY" pleasure spots...Cold Stone Creamery! It was GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.............LOL!

And of course we had to Go Shopping! First Shawneke took me to Fifi’s Fine Resale Apparel in Cornelius. I LOVE thrift stores but had never been in one as nice as this one. This was a boutique consignment shop which was THE BOMB! I picked up a pair of nice "Never Worn" Ferragomo T-Straps, a RL Polo Shirt and a fly Red Purse all for $122 bucks! Hence to say I was happy!

Then we headed to Concord Mills (Outlet Center) in Concord, NC. This Mall is just my style and owned by the Simon Company which also owns my favorite mall at home, Arundel Mills. To Arnold's dismay, Shawneke and I shopped until we dropped! All before heading to our massage appointments which my girl graciously "treated" me too.

"Thanks Neke-Neke, You are the Bestest!"Saturday we "chilled" a little and went to the Blakeney Shopping Center on Ardrey Kell Rd before going to the Utopia Restaurant for Dinner and little Live Jazz enetertainment. If you are ever in Charlotte, the Utopia Resturant ( http://www.utopianc.com/ ) is a NICE spot to visit. We met an owner, Kennedy, who was a real cool and down to earth brother.

And of course I couldn't forget the dashingly dapper & stylish "Brother Marcus". Unfortunately, he had to work all weekend, so I didn't see him much...but I did see him long enough to get this quick pic!

One complaint that I do have was my flight to Charlotte on AirTrans...This was my first time NOT flying Southwest, which has spoiled me, because they do not charge all of those extra fees.

AirTrans charges you $15 for your 1st bag each way and they charge you $10 to $20 if you wish to reserve your seat in advance...jeesh! I wish Southwest flew to Charlotte, but since they do not I had to cough up these fees! That's money I could have shopped with!! But I will give them their "props" on getting us to Charlotte early! The Easter Bunny Visits 718!

Even though we were ALL sick the Easter Bunny was kind enough to stop by 718 and drop-off a couple of baskets for "Our Joy!"

After Church and a nap, we all joined together at Charlie & Frankie's House for a wonderful Easter Feast! Grandmom put her foot in the Baked Lemon Salmon, Mac 'n Cheese and her Pineapple Upside down cake...lol!
