Halloween 2009...since I was down and out with the Flu, Nina-Skye and her Daddy went out to the Church's Family Fun Night and then out Trick or Treating...they had a blast!

Daddy Carves Nina-Skye's 1st Pumpkin

Nina-Skye's teacher, Mrs. Murphy asked the children to bring in a carved pumpkin for class this year, so they could have lunch by Jack-O-Lantern light. So of course she and her Daddy got to work. I'd say this is was an EXCELLENT job for their very first effort! Here is Nina-Skye scooping out the yucky stuff...

Nina-Skye's H1N1 Adventure

Today we went to Eliot-Hine Middle School for the DOH School based Free H1N1 Vaccination Clinic for youth ranging in age from 6 months to 24 years of age, pregnant women and member of the priority groups {people with underlying medical conditions, such as Asthma or Diabetes}. The Clinic started at 5 pm, but Arnold got there around 4:20 and this is what the line looked liked...

And here is our little patient who is oblivious as to why she and a few of her classmates are in line...lol! When she got inside and saw what was going on, she asked, "Do I have to get a shot?!?!" When we told her "Yes," little momma tried to RUN out the door...but then we found out she can receive the nasal spray and she was SOOOO relieved!

Whew!!! What A Weekend!!

Talk about BUSY!

This weekend was filled with Dance Class...

Then I volunteered to be a docent for 3 1/2 hours for her PTA #1 Fundraiser...

Then on Sunday, Nina-Skye & I went to Church...Arnold had a photo/make-up Shoot in Georgetown...

Next, Nina-Skye went to Marcus's 5th Birthday Bowling Party...

And I went to the sorry Washington Redskins vs Kansas City Chiefs Football Game!

After this boring game, the Deadskin's will NEVA convert me...

Whew! What a weekend!!!

Our New Church Home

Proverbs 22:6 Nina-Skye and I took the walk-up the aisle today and joined Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Louis B. Jones, II. We've been visiting there over a year and prayerfully considered our options, but kept being led back to Pilgrim. So now we have a church home and wonderful covering! Bless the Lord!!!

Now we will continue to pray for Arnold, who attends with us, but we will pray for him to find his way down the aisle and to join...wink wink!

Quazi's Birthday Surprise

Candi & Squeak surprised "Quazi" for her birthday with a Surprise Party at Jaspers! It was a GREAT Surprise and she did not have a clue that they were doing this for her. Here We are during the celebration: Me, The birthday girl (center) and Candi (on the right).

Dinner with Tamika & the Kids

Out of the kindness of her lovin' li'l heart, my girl Tamika drove w/the Kids from Tampa to Orlando just to see me! It was wonderful to see her again since I hadn't seen her in over two years! Plus, I had yet to meet her "New Addition" Sir Myles! We all went out to dinner and Ohhhhhhhhh... he is SUCH a sweetheart! He let me hold him with no problem AFTER he ate his mashed potatoes...check out that cute li'l face...

When we left the restaurant, I made the mistake of carrying Myles to the car! Enroute I found myself breathing kind of heavy! I was like what the??? No, it wasn't due to the high Florida humidity...it was from me carrying Myles! LOL! WHOA...that is one HEAVY Li'l fellow!
