Awwwwwwwwwwwwww my baby girl is growing-up too fast. Today she lost her FIRST tooth, with the help of Anbesol, dental floss, Mommy & Daddy.

Our Visit To The National Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial

On October 9th we were BLESSED with a BEAUTIFUL & WARM day, so we took a family outing to the New Dr. Martin Luther King National Memorial downtown. It was truly a wonderful day! Arnold & Nina-Skye with the AWESOME Rev. Dr. King in the Background! Awe-Inspiring!!!

If I could just have a percentage of this man's brilliance and courage I would be a MUCH better person...


Sadly the day had to come to an end...But his dream doesn't have to!

My Natural Hair Journey 2008 - 2011

This was the length of my "Permed" hair back in May 2008 when I decided to do have a "Semi" Big Chop done by my friend Rhonda.

First Rhonda cut my hair...then I let, Deniene's hairdresser & friend Shay shave the back of my neck in November 2008.Then Shay finished off my BC {Big Chop} in April 2009. She used a texturizer on my hair which I continued receive touch-ups until November 2010...and here is the end result...

Fastforward to June 2011 and I am NO LONGER putting any "CHEMICALS" in my hair...therefore I can really say that I am "AU NATURAL" and loving the freedom of no longer getting perms, no longer going to hair dressers and "waiting" my life away and no longer giving them a bulk of my annual income...LOL!


My hair hasn't been this "HEALTHY" since I was a little girl in Junior High School "My PRE-Perm-Decades!"

I'm aspiring to BIG NATURAL HAIR:

Nina-Skye starts FIRST Grade

On our way to Watkin's Elementary School for her first day of first grade.

After being in the Montessori Program at Watkins Elementarty School under the tutelage of Ms. Janet Murphy for THREE Years we were BEYOND excited about her experiencing a NEW Teacher, Mrs. Leak-Bowers, a NEW Classroom and NEW Classmates! YAY Nina-Skye!!
