My Service Awards Luncheon

Today my job held our Annual Service Awards Luncheon for employees with 5 - 15 years of service. I was a recipient of the 5 Years Of Service Award!

Happy 3rd Birthday Baby Jalyn

Today Nina-Skye was invited to Jalyn's 3rd Birthday Party at Chuck E. Cheese. So since this was the first time "Baby Jalyn", that's what we call her, since Nina-Skye has a classmate named "Jalen", had a Party to celebrate her birthday...we just had to sacrifice the trip after Church and head out and help her celebrate (Yay Mommy!) Needless to say, Nina-Skye had a ball! Here she is with the little birthday princess...isn't she CUTE!!!A Cake Fit For A Princess!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Since it was such a Beautiful 70 Degree St. Patrick's Day, Nina-Skye begged to go to the Playground after school...so I had to oblige! And of course she had to ride her Princess Bicycle which she has been dying to ride since Santa Claus bought it for her!

On the way home Nina-Skye "admired" these beautiful daffodils, so we had to get her picture with them.*Melva...Please tell Xavier that it looks like this will be the last season that she will be able to wear her princess helmet he gave her a few years ago...lol!

Independent Nighttime Potty Accomplishment!

This morning at 3:27 am I heard Nina-Skye get up, go up the hall to the bathroom, place her potty seat on the toilet, use the toilet and then go back to bed!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

What is the big deal you say??? Well let me tell ya! This was the second consecutive night that our baby girl had EVER done this! (Monday night neither one of us heard her do this, I just found the evidence of the potty seat on the toilet as I went into the bathroom at 3:45 that morning.) So this is a MAJOR accomplishment because prior to now, if she awakened and had to use the bathroom, she was always to scared to get-up and use the toilet...instead she would SCREAM down the hall, "MOMMY!" Her screaming usually startled me awake and with my heart beating out of my chest, I would run down the hall to see what was the problem, just to receive the response of her little voice saying, "I need to go to the bathroom!" Which I would angrily respond, "Then girl get-up and go! You don't need to TELL us that you have to go to the bathroom, just do it!"

Well she finally did what Nike and I suggested and just did it...and after this great accomplishment with much honor and pride I created this post! Now to find her some type of small reward to let her know how proud we are of her!

Our Friend Anissa's Baby Shower

Nina-Skye and I traveled to Herndon, VA to attend our friend Terri's, daughter Anissa's Baby Shower. Anissa is pregnant with her first child. She and husband Ben are expecting their daughter Maya in May...Yay! Here is Nina-Skye all smiles at the Baby Shower...she was under the assumption that we would actually see the baby...lol!Look at that CUTE cake at this wonderful "Sweets" Table! The Cake Baker designed the Cake around Anissa's Nursery design. And yes that is Anissa's Baby Picture on the table. Mommy-To-Be, Anissa cuts her Beautiful cake with her cute adorable little fan club!
