Our Fun Day on Castaway Cay Island

The Fresh Catch Of The Day: Arnold & Nina-Skye
Today was picture perfect! {Bless The Lord for it!} The Cruise Line docked at 8:30 in the morning on their Private portion of Bahama Island called "Castaway Cay!" So we were all off the ship by 10 something and out and about on their beautiful beach! I like the way they set-up the island with just enough amenities to make their cruisers comfortable {i.e., big clean bathrooms, open & airy dining, drink and ice cream area, quaint souvenir shops, bike rentals, etc.} but very primitive otherwise {no houses/buildings, traffic, people, etc}. Check out the pictures below and you will see what I mean...

After a Fantastic Day on Castaway Cay we then had a Fun Dinner in the Animator's Palate again followed by an evening show of the Disney Nature movie EARTH, which Nina-Skye fell fast a sleep in. Mmmmmm...that's one way to "knock a Toddler out and put them fast asleep!" LOL!

Fun in Nassau, Bahamas

After a great evening aboard the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship, we travelled overnight to Nassau, Bahamas. We a had warm but partly cloudy Day in Nassau. Here is Nina-Skye posing in front of her "Building Boat."
Family Shot in front of the Disney Wonder as it is in Port in Nassau.
Arnold, Deniene, Dare and Nina-Skye posing for a picture in Nassau. Photo taken by our wonderfully entertaining Tour Guide "Felix," who we hired to show us the sights of Nassau, which is New Providence Island.

Arnold and Nina-Skye at Fort Fincastle. Fort Fincastle was constructed in 1793 by Lord Dunmore, the royal governor. It is a 126-foot fort which offers spectacular panoramic views of the ocean. It is supposed to be shaped like a ship so that ships at sea would think a large ship was harboured here to protect the island.

Deniene, Dare & Nina-Skye on top of Fort Fincastle with the Disney Wonder in the background. Everyone needed their sunglasses by this time of the day. I see ya "Boo-Boo!" Here is Arnold and I at the top of the Queen's Staircase. The Queen's Staircase is a set of 65 steps was carved out of the natural limestone wall that once rested in its place by slaves between 1793 and 1794. The Queens Staircase is 102 feet tall, and was so named in honor of Queen Victoria. Originally, the Queens Staircase was built to provide British troops a protected route to Fort Fincastle, and the slaves used were local peoples from the island. Fort Fincastle was built on the highest point of the island as a lookout by the British captain Lord Dunmore in 1793.
Our final stop on our tour of Naussau was The Atlantis on Paradise Island. This is a gorgeous and breath-taking resort with stunning architecture, tons of marble throughout the resort all with unique murals and sculptures all evoking the story of the myth of Atlantis. The bridge of the main tower is the Suite that Micheal Jackson and Oprah stayed in. Our tour Guide, Felix claims the Suite is $25,000 per night with a 4 night minimum! Whoa!
Sitting like Royalty at the Atlantis Resort!
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Too Cute!
After our tour on Providence Island, Nassau Bahamas we concluded our evening with a dress up dinner in the Animator's Palate and "The Toy Story Musical Stage show" in the Walt Disney Theatre. Nina-Skye joined other little people at the Oceaneers Club so Mommy, Daddy & Auntie's Dee Dee & Frankie could catch a late movie, "Confessions of a Shopaholic" in the Buena Vista Theatre. Talk about another exhausting but joyful day!

A Mother's Day Feat. Planes, "Buses" & Automobiles

Glitter Graphics

Ok...where do I begin? What a Mothers Day! This Mother's Day was in "NO" way ordinary as it was full of Transportation Sources. In one day we were in a Car, Bus, Airplane, another Bus and then the Cruise Ship. We were blessed with the opportunity to go on a Disney Cruise for our Family Vacation and is the reason for the wide array of transportation we used. This was Nina-Skye's FIRST Cruise and needless to say she was "thrilled" to see the "Building Boat," as she called it.
Here she is in Orlando's (MCO) Airport awaiting the Bus we had to take to Port Canaveral to embark on the cruise ship.

After a very LONG Day we finally made it onto the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship in Port Canaveral, Florida. Here are the two loves of my life, Nina-Skye & Arnold on the Deck near the pool. YEAH!
Nina-Skye, her fake smile & Mommy chillin' on deck!

Cousins on Deck: Nina-Skye, Camille & Ciera
Nina-Skye doing aqua-aerobics in the pool, which she stated was one of her favorite parts of the vacation.
After a late lunch in the Beach Blanket Buffet we took in a show called "The Golden Mickeys!" Disney did a wonderful job on this live theater production which celebrated the Musical Heritage of Walt Disney in a toe-tapping tribute to the classic Disney animated features which was held in the Walt Disney Theatre.
